Now I am officially retired. I have had the retirement parties and my 60th birthday parties. So now it is time to start enjoying the fruits of Don and my labors. He is in a position to retire also.
We love to camp and have had two hard side campers in the last 10 years. Last year we tried to sell the last camper with no luck. With a major vacation planned for September-October, we at first thought about tent camping to cut cost. Then I thought I thought about the camper we were trying to sell. We did not want to take that on because it was just to much.
I had the idea that the dealership where we had the Z to sell might give us a pretty good trade with it. We thought we might like a small pop up camper (we had one many years ago and liked the ease of the whole thing.) Well, they actually agreed to a trade plus put in an air-conditioner! It is small to be sure. About the smallest pop up they make. But it is plenty of room for Don and I. We will spend a lot of time outdoors, which is what camping is all about. It is also really simple... not much on it to go wrong. That is what we like. It is also easy to tow so maybe I will be able to drive some on our trip which I did not do with the other ones.
I will have fun tricking it out to get it just the way we want it. We already have a camping trip planned to try out things.
So for a while, if I am not around... I am probably out camping in our little Jayco!
