Life is a journey and this blog is a reflection of my journey. You never know what is around the bend in the river of life.

River of life runs through the streets of NW Arkansas
After 10+ inches of rain in this area, the streets around here are flooded. Our road was impassable some during the day. We could tell when we go home that there was debree in the road showing where the water had been. Just glad to have made it home after all the rain we had all day. Not sure if it is done, but for now it seems to have let up a bet. Kind of crazy after having 18-24 inches of snow in February and now all of this rain. I am beginning to feel water-logged.

Rainy Easter
As it continues to rain, I spent this Easter with family. After church, I had part of the family spend Easter afternoon at the house having lunch and visiting.
We are looking at another day or two of all this rain. There are flood watches and warnings out and we are watching the creeks in our valley to see if they overflow. We needed the rain, however we did not need it all at once. The silver lining to all the rain is that the trees and other plants are getting greener every day! And, everything looks washed clean and clear! I
In the sermon today at church, the minister asked "what are the "stones" in your life and who are you going to ask to help you move them away/" Interesting thought.
Everyday, we encounter "stones" that get in our way. We just have to roll them away and move on.

Rainy Week
As I sit here this early morning, I am listening to the rain outside the window. We have had several days of rainy and stormy weather and it looks like we will have another week of some of the same. It is not that I am opposed to rain, however, I do not want it all to come in a span of a 2 week period. And the storms! Last night we were under a tornado warning for a while. There were actually funnel cloud all around, but thankfully, none touched down. After most of the bad stuff missed us, our power went out for several hours. We spend the rest of the evening with our head lamps on reading. We pretty much felt like we were camping. Tomorrow is Easter, and it looks to be a soggy one. I guess I need to go out and buy a pair of those rubber boots that are in style now so I can slosh around on my life journey this week.
